The 5 Solas

How important is the word “alone”? To the Reformers it was all-important. The 5 Solas of the reformation was a collective rallying cry of the Protestant Reformers. The word “Sola” may seem foreign to us, but it basically means “Alone” in Latin. It summarizes the Reformers’ theological convictions about the essentials of Christianity which brought about a recovery of the gospel of Christ as we have today!
